1518 Q Street is the adaptive reuse and rehabilitation of a designated historic property in Sacramento’s Midtown urban core. The project will preserve the building’s historic character while repositioning the interior for a modern residential use. The existing residence will be converted into six furnished residential suites, primarily designed to serve traveling medical professionals and other mid-term residents who need flexible, well-located housing. The existing basement will be converted into two additional residential units, each configured as a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment. The project combines historic preservation with higher-density residential use, extending the useful life of an existing Sacramento building while creating a differentiated mix of furnished mid-term housing and conventional residential units.
